Christian Aid 2022
Big Brekkie held to launch Christian Aid Week 15-21 May 22To launch Christian Aid Week a Big Brekkie was held in the church hall. Everyone enjoyed a continental style breakfast followed by our All Age service led by Dave McDonald and Hanneke Marshall. We all learned about Jessica and her family's struggle to survive in rural Zimbabwe. Thanks to the help of Christian Aid Jessica has been able to provide food for her family.
Times are tight for many in the UK due to rising energy prices, but worldwide the war in Ukraine is driving up the price of grain and cooking oil. This is a great concern for developing countries, especially those who have experienced droughts due to climate change. Christian Aid delivers both emergency aid and developmental aid (such as drought resistant crops and different ways of farming). Both are very much needed just now! Please look out for an envelope or use the Bridge of Weir e-envelope to give online: https://envelope.christianaid.org.uk/envelope/bridge-of-weir |
