Choir and Junior Choir

The Choir is full of welcoming, fun loving people who enjoy singing hymns, psalms and contemporary music under the enthusiastic leadership of our musical director and organist Ian Murno.  Anyone who can sing - even a little - is encouraged to join. The ability to read music is helpful but not required. Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings 7:30-9pm in the church. The choir sing in most services (not in the monthly all age services).

Our Junior Choir was started in 2021 and is for children from Primary 3 upwards. Currently approximately 15 children come on Thursday afternoons during term time (4:15-5:15pm) to practice and sing a wide repertoire of songs, some religious, some not. They learn about singing and music, being part of a choir and take turns in leading the vocal warm up. Machar is their mascotte and goes home with a choir member each week for more adventures. At the end of each term the Junior Choir give a short performance for friends and family and they take part in some other concerts and services in our church too. Taking part in the choir is entirely free and lots of fun. Children can come along for a few sessions to see if they like it.
