News about Presbytery Plan

Dear friends,

The draft presbytery mission plan for Clyde Presbytery is available here. The presbytery will vote on this on 22nd November. If accepted it will also need approval from the General Trustees and the Presbytery Mission Planning Implentation Group of the Faith Nurture Forum.

For our village the plan says the following:

Bridge of Weir

Encouraged by the long term history of working together in certain areas with scope to explore further
avenues for collaboration, it is recommended that the two churches in Bridge of Weir should unite to
form a single charge with an allocation of 1.0 FTE.
Owing to its central location, it is also recommended that Freeland should remain Category A with
St Machar’s Ranfurly becoming Category B.

[category B means not required for future use and to be disposed of]

Rev Kenneth Gray and I have written a pastoral letter that will be shared today (Sunday 6th November). To read it click here

During the service of 6th of November I will reflect on the determination contained in the draft plan.

Yours,

Hanneke
