Christian Aid 2020

Christian Aid is happening but in a different way! Support the most vulnerable across the world through giving to Christian Aid.

The focus this year is on Climate Justice and if you tune in to our service on Sunday 10th you will hear more about this.

No "red envelope" this year, but instead we have a new "e-Envelope"!!!!

Christian Aid Week is definitely happening and, whilst it has to be different this year, our support is more vital than ever.

Please, please, please:

1. Follow the link to make an online donation

2. Share the e-Envelope with as many of your friends and contacts as possible

The e-Envelope makes sure that all the donation goes straight to Christian Aid.  We chose this method, rather than setting up a local “JustGiving” page, in order to avoid any commission being creamed off by an intermediary and also to ensure the full “gift aid” bonus is received by Christian Aid.

Click on this link here to go to the e-Envelope, which may take a minute or two to open and even has a specific Bridge of Weir message in it.

Once you have opened the envelope simply follow the instructions to make an online donation, which involves four easy steps of choosing the amount, filling in your details, selecting gift aid (if you are a tax payer), and finally making payment by card or PayPal.

If you don’t want to be contacted by Christian Aid, just make sure you don’t tick any of the boxes in the “Keeping in touch” section.  But do make sure you tick the gift aid box if you are able to do so.
If you are not comfortable clicking on a link in an email, you can either:

  • Just google Christian Aid Week and go direct to the donation page; or
  • Make a donation by phone (020 7523 2269), or even post a cheque to Christian Aid, 290 Bath St, Glasgow G2 4JR (although due to the lockdown situation there is currently a delay to processing donations by post).

A big THANK YOU for your support!
